Students will be able to participate in case studies, where they will think critically and conduct research about a disease or disorder in a specific area of interest. Within assigned groups, students will work together to create a PowerPoint that expresses their findings and will later present to a medical professional while receiving feedback.
Case studies will occur in three-week blocks, with meetings taking place each week for a one hour duration. During each session, students will be able to work with their group in break-out rooms to complete and gather their research in a presentable way. If unable to finish in the time provided, students will be expected to collaborate outside of weekly meetings to complete their findings.
At the end of the block, students will meet with a group of doctors at which they would present their findings and receive advice regarding the suggested treatments. With what they learn, students will work on a paper that encapsulates their understanding and can choose to be featured on our website.
Our aim is to allow members interested in medical-sciences from all around the world to collaborate and create a network.
