Our Mission

Global Medical Association (GMA) is a student-initiated non-profit organization aimed to spread medical literacy and educate students interested in the sciences. We find that more and more, finding affordable and relevant exploratory opportunities is a challenge for students looking to pursue careers in healthcare, especially those from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Thus, we strive to provide a plethora of affordable and intellectually stimulating opportunities for students to explore and find passion in potential healthcare careers and research.

These include:

  • Career Panels: Students will participate and listen to online lectures from doctors in both rural and urban practices, covering all the different pathways in medicine

  • Case Studies: Students will think critically and conduct research about a specific disease/disorder within groups and have the opportunity to present findings to a medical professional while receiving feedback.

  • STEM Tutoring: For nominal costs, students will also have opportunities to access a series of videos and personalized tutoring in relevant STEM subjects

As a non-profit striving to make a difference in communities worldwide, all proceeds from events will be donated to Project C.U.R.E. (https://projectcure.org/), a top ranked charity by Charity Navigator, that provides third world countries with life-saving medical equipment.

Our vision is to create a dedicated network of students in the Medical-sciences. Together, we hope to make strides forward and contribute to impacts within communities on a global scale. Feel free to contact us or check out our upcoming events/opportunities if interested. We’d love to have you join our mission.
